While Carl Anderson has been writing and performing in the Charlottesville, VA scene for some time now under many band formations, this release is a bit of a coming out party. Taking a large step into a solo, frontman role, Carl showcases exactly what the world should be excited for in his first solo release titled “20 Something Blues.”
These astonishingly mature and brilliantly written songs are captured by a totally fresh performance. Rarely does such a raw and creative artist find such a refined sound. You listen to Carl and you can’t help but understand the influence certain artists have had, such as Joe Pug, Steve Earle, Townes Van Zandt and Ryan Adams.
